Wood Speaks — Gilded Currents: Grainfall

This piece is part of the Wood Speaks · Gilded Currents series, where each composition follows the natural movement of the wood grain. Built through layered mixed media and gilded detailing, transparent glazes are applied slowly to echo the structure already present in the surface, allowing color and metallic elements to flow in response to the material itself.

A final clear finish enhances luminosity and dimensional depth, catching light across the gilded layers so the surface subtly shifts as the environment changes. The result is a compact wall piece with strong visual presence, tactile, luminous, and grounded in the character of the wood.

Each disc is hand painted and entirely one of a kind. Designed to hang cleanly on the wall, it functions as a focal artwork that brings warmth, movement, and quiet energy into a space.
