Surf’s Up Mini – Original Ocean Paintings

The Surf’s Up Mini Collection is a small series of original ocean paintings inspired by the movement, energy, and rhythm of breaking waves. Created as a cohesive body of work, the collection captures different moments within the same coastal palette, each piece distinct, yet connected.

Each painting is developed through a multi-step, hands-on process that builds depth and light over time. The surface evolves through layered glazes, poured passages, and hand-sanding between stages. Interference and light-reflective pigments are worked into the layers, followed by additional pours, sanding, and refined details. A final ocean-spray finish completes each piece.

The collection includes six one-of-a-kind original paintings, each measuring 6 × 6 inches. While each artwork stands beautifully on its own, the series was intentionally created to work together as a quiet grouping, allowing the rhythm of the ocean to unfold across multiple pieces.
