The Gilded Currents series explores movement, light, and layered energy through hand-painted mixed media on cradled wood panels. Each piece begins with a gilded gold foundation, followed by multiple transparent glaze layers that are slowly built, sanded, and refined to create depth and dimension. The flowing lines respond to the structure of the surface, allowing color and metallic elements to interact in a way that feels alive and shifting.

A final clear finish enhances the multidimensional quality, catching light across the surface so the piece subtly changes throughout the day. The result is a compact work that carries visual weight, luminous, tactile, and expressive.
