Handcrafted Oyster Shell Napkin Ring: Gold Trim, Pearl Beads, Pink Toile

Keychains, purse charms, wine bottle charms and stoppers, ornaments, wreaths and much more!I have a passion for creating art using shells. It all started when my niece suggested that she, my daughter, and I try decoupaging shells as a fun activity to do together. One night, we sat down with a bottle of wine and started creating. We had a great time making ring/trinket dishes while enjoying each other’s company. Shell crafting is a family tradition for us. My father, who was a detective with the City of Richmond Police Department for over 30 years, started making shell shadow boxes after he retired. He loved it so much that he began participating in craft shows. We used to spend a lot of time at the beach on Hatteras Island, North Carolina, and shells have always held a special meaning for me because of those summers. It’s a beautiful place I have called home for nearly 30 years.

After my father passed away in 2018, I felt compelled to save some of his work, tools, and even his glasses. Recently, I’ve started using his tools and wearing his glasses to create art that I believe he would be proud of. My daughter also loves joining me at the shell table whenever she can. Our creations have evolved to include keychains, purse charms, wine bottle charms and stoppers, ornaments and much more. Take a look at our shop.
